Indian Railways will soon launch a brand-new train to connect Telangana with Bihar, bringing major relief to thousands of migrant workers. The service will run between Secunderabad and Muzaffarpur, offering low fares and a balanced coach composition to meet the high demand for affordable travel.
Balanced Coaches for More Comfort
Unlike most long-distance trains where general compartments are often overcrowded, the new train will have an equal number of general and sleeper coaches. This balanced setup will make last-minute travel easier for workers and other passengers heading towards Patna, Gaya, and Muzaffarpur. The train will pass through key stations such as Kazipet, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Gaya, and Patna before reaching its final stop in Bihar.
Officials explained that current connectivity between Hyderabad and Muzaffarpur is limited, with only a weekly express available. The new train will fill this gap and offer a more reliable option. The service will also reduce the rush on existing trains during festive seasons and election periods, especially with Bihar elections around the corner.
Future Plans for a Wider Network
Railways also revealed future plans to expand services to other routes. Proposed connections include Hyderabad-Santragachi, Cherlapalli-Guwahati, and Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram, which would further strengthen links between Telangana and several states in the east and south.
The introduction of this service reflects Railways’ focus on affordable and accessible travel for all sections of society. With low fares, modern facilities, and a balanced coach composition, the new train will become a dependable choice for daily wage earners, students, and families travelling long distances.
