Mumbai’s newly rebuilt Carnac Bridge, spanning between Masjid Bunder and CSMT stations, is nearing completion. Engineered as a 70-meter-long and 9.5-meter-wide steel superstructure, the bridge now includes four vehicular lanes, effectively doubling its earlier capacity. The new design also features modern signage and lighting to improve commuter safety and efficiency.

Alongside Carnac, BMC is working on other key infrastructure projects. The Bellasis flyover is expected to open by December 15, 2025, while the Sion flyover will be ready by May 31, 2026. Officials have confirmed that girders for both flyovers are now onsite, and teams anticipate no further delays.
