This new expressway connects Jaitpur on NH-27 with Salarpur on the Purvanchal Expressway, passing through the districts of Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar. The route cuts travel time to Lucknow to around three and a half hours, helping commuters and transporters alike.
Safety Fleet and Smart Monitoring
A specialized safety fleet will patrol the expressway in shifts, staffed by ex-servicemen, and backed by ambulances stationed every 45 km, cranes, camper vans, and a hydra vehicle. The expressway will feature an Advanced Traffic Management System, including CCTV cameras every 5 km, speed cameras, and automatic number plate readers. Officials expect the expressway to stimulate industrial growth in southern Gorakhpur. The 5,500-acre Greater GIDA industrial township near Dhuriyapar will receive a major connectivity boost. Large firms including Adani’s ACC Cement, Shri Cement, and Keyan Distillery have shown interest in the region following this development. The project also promises to generate over 10,000 jobs, bolstering the local economy.
